Booking Surgery

You will be able to book your surgery once you have had two consultations with A/Prof Magnusson, you have completed our informed consent process and the mandatory 7 day cooling off period has passed.

When booking your surgery, you will be required to pay $1000 deposit at the time of booking to secure the date for your surgery. Full payment of Surgeon and assistant fees must be made in full 28 days prior to your procedure.

Fees for hospital (theatre and accommodation), anaesthetist, pathology and medications are not included in the Surgeon’s fee. These fees are your responsibility and form a significant cost of the overall procedure. You will receive an estimate of these fees once you have had your consultation and your surgery plan has been confirmed.

Private Health Insurance

Private health insurance is an important consideration if you are considering plastic surgery procedures that are normally covered by Medicare, such as breast reduction (male & female), congenital breast conditions, removal of excess skin after massive weight loss and muscle repair of the abdominal wall after pregnancy. You must meet the required criteria outlined in the Medical Benefits Schedule to be eligible for Medicare assistance for these procedures. This will be determined during your consultation with A/Prof Magnusson.

Cosmetic surgery is surgery or procedures that are performed to achieve what the patient sees as a more acceptable or desirable appearance. Cosmetic surgery does not attract a Medicare rebate or assistance from a private health fund.
