Vaccination policy
All of our team at Magnusson Plastic Surgery and Allure Clinic are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. We encourage members of the community, and upcoming patients, to be vaccinated as well.
It is recommended that there should be 7 days between vaccination and your surgery date. This is to ensure that mild side effects from your vaccination such as fever or lethargy, do not interfere with your surgical recovery.
At Allure Clinic, there must be at least 14 days between your vaccination and having dermal filler, 7 days between vaccination and laser and light therapy and 72 hours for anti-wrinkle injections.
Mask policy
As per the Queensland Health current guidelines, masks are no longer required to be worn during your visit to our clinic.
Our staff may still wear a mask during your treatment and you are also welcome to do so if you feel more comfortable.
Who can’t come to the clinic?
To ensure your own safety and that of our other patients and team, we ask that you do NOT come to our clinic:
- If you are unwell and are experiencing a sore throat, fever, shortness of breath, loss of smell or cough;
- If you have had direct contact with someone who is unwell, or has been exposed to Coronavirus or is currently isolating due to possible exposure;
- If you have tested positive for COVID-19 and are still within your isolation period or are continuing to experience symptoms.
COVID-19 testing before surgery is no longer routine.
If you have upcoming surgery, we ask that you notify us if you begin to experience flu symptoms or are feeling unwell.
The risks of patients who test positive for COVID-19 within their peri-operative period are increased by a factor of 10, and we believe this is an unacceptable risk for elective surgery where surgical risk is normally very low.
